Pro Race - Altig Wins On Home Soil
Sunday 28 August 1966

Official road race programme cover used a graphic taken from an actual magazine photo - that strangely predicted the Altig - Anquetil result ...
Does anyone else remember seeing the source photo? If so where was it? Posssibly a team time trial from around 1964?

Above - Lots of gaps in the published start sheet (no Portugal for example) but a good one online at ProCyclingStats ... however this one does not seem to include dossard numbers for IDing riders

Above: Awards podium with Anquetil absent - my fading memory seems to recall it was due to a dispute about post race testing
Public domain photos taken on the day : Magazine report of the Pro race
Anything you can add?
