There are already pages covering France, Italy and Spain - so here I will try to add a little about the other countries that you can visit and enjoy a break with a cycling theme.

If are not desperate for the high mountains or baking sunshine then don’t overlook the north of Europe. Everything from tackling the hills and pave of Belgium’s road race classics to wandering round the streets of Amsterdam is available.

But if really must have the sunshine then try Portugal and if you must have the mountains then try Austria, Slovakia (that’s the landlocked country next to Austria) or Slovenia (that’s the one next to Italy on the Adriatic Sea). You can even try the Tatra mountains from the Polish side for something new.
